A text watermark can be drawn onto an image in a browser without uploading it. The text is rendered directly onto the picture at a size proportional to its shorter side, so one setting looks the same on a small screenshot and on a full-resolution photo. Because the work happens locally, the image is not sent to a service that could keep a copy of the unmarked original.

There is an obvious irony in free watermarking tools that stamp their own logo onto your image. This one draws only the text you type. The site name appears nowhere in the output.
The mark is drawn as white text with a dark outline, always. A single flat colour cannot stay legible on both a snow scene and a night shot, and the outline is what lets one setting work on every image — the same reason subtitles have looked that way for decades. Position, size and opacity are yours to set; the tiled option repeats the text at an angle across the whole frame, which is much harder to crop or clone away than a mark in one corner.

Frequently asked questions
Does this add its own watermark?
No. The only text drawn on the image is the text you type. There is no logo, no site name and no signup.
Can I use an image or a logo as the watermark?
Not here — this tool takes text only. A logo watermark needs a second file input, which is a different tool from this one.
Which position is hardest to remove?
Tiled. A mark in one corner can be cropped off in seconds; a rotated repeat across the whole frame overlaps the subject itself, so removing it means damaging the picture.
Can the watermark be taken off later?
Not from the exported file — the text is burned into the pixels. Keep your unmarked original.
